You can delete your YearBuilt account and the data linked to it at any time.

In the app
Open Profile, tap Delete Account, and confirm. Your account is deleted immediately.

Without the app
Email contact@yearbuilt.app from the email address you use to sign in, with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm the request and delete the account within 30 days.

What is deleted
Your account (email address and user ID), your favorites, your scan history, your purchase records and any unused scans. Unused scans cannot be restored or refunded after deletion.

What is kept
Technical diagnostic logs are deleted automatically within 30 days. Building records (a building's location and the year it was built) are not linked to you and are kept. A deleted account's Google or Apple sign-in cannot be used with YearBuilt again. To enforce this, we keep a one-way code derived from that sign-in, which contains no name, email address or other account data.
