MyLuminaCircle LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the YearBuilt mobile application. We built this application with a strict focus on privacy and minimalism. This policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and your rights regarding your data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users through the App or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the App after such changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
1. Data We Collect and How We Use It
Account Information: To save your scan credits across devices, we require you to create an account using Google or Apple authentication. We collect only your email address and an anonymous user ID. We do not collect your physical address, phone number, or financial history.
Location Data (GPS): To identify the year a structure was built, the App requires precise location permissions. When you scan a building, we transmit the targeted GPS coordinates to our secure servers and authorized data providers. We may retain property location data and associated Year Built information indefinitely to improve the accuracy, performance, and efficiency of the App.
Camera and AR Data: The App requires camera access for Augmented Reality features. The App does not record or store your camera feed, photos, or video, and never sends them to us. Augmented Reality is provided by Google (see Section 2).
2. Third-Party Service Providers (Firebase and ARCore Disclosure)
We use Google Firebase to provide core infrastructure and analytics. Specifically:
Firebase Authentication: Used to securely manage your login state and user ID. Collects email and authentication tokens.
Firebase Analytics: Collects usage information associated with device identifiers and analytics identifiers.
Firebase Crashlytics: Collects crash traces, device state at the time of a crash, and installation UUIDs to help us fix bugs.

Google Play Services for AR (ARCore): This application runs on Google Play Services for AR (ARCore), which is provided by Google and governed by the Google Privacy Policy. 3. International Data Transfers
MyLuminaCircle LLC is based in the United States. If you are accessing the App from the European Union, United Kingdom, or other regions with laws governing data collection and use, please note that your personal data will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States via our secure cloud providers. We rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms, including Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable, to safeguard personal data transferred internationally.
4. Data Deletion Process
You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Upon deletion, your account data will be removed, and any remaining scan credits will be permanently forfeited. A deleted account cannot be restored, and the Google or Apple sign-in it used cannot be used with YearBuilt again. To enforce this, we keep a one-way code derived from that sign-in, which contains no name, email address or other account data.
How to Request Deletion:
In-App: Navigate to the Settings menu and tap 'Delete Account'.
Email: Send an email to contact@yearbuilt.app from the email address associated with your account.
Timeline and Verification: We will verify your request by confirming your account email. Deletion requests are processed within thirty (30) days.
5. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
• Access the personal information we maintain about you;
• Correct or update inaccurate personal information;
• Request deletion of your personal information;
• Request a copy of your personal information in a portable format where applicable;
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your personal information.

We will respond to privacy requests within the timeframes required by applicable law.
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
YearBuilt is not intended for use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in applicable jurisdictions such as the European Union under GDPR). If we become aware that a child under the applicable age has provided us with personal information, we will take immediate steps to delete such data from our servers.
